Shirley Bluhm

Shirley was born and raised in Chehalis, Washington and moved to the city of Olympia to attend college.  She obtained her undergraduate degree from The Evergreen State College in 1990 and completed law school at the University of Puget Sound School of Law (now Seattle University) in 1993.  Just after completing her first year of law school she started working for a small boutique personal injury firm in Olympia.  She continued to work there through law school and after graduation.  In 1997, when it became apparent that her growth opportunities were going to be limited at that firm, she struck out on her own with a friend from law school.  She was a partner with Bluhm & Timmer until 2003 when her partner retired.  Since then she has been working as a solo practitioner.



In addition to managing her own practice, Shirley and her husband, Adam, who owns and operates his own hauling company, enjoy their 10 acre farm.  They find the physical work of a farm and the company of cows, dogs, chickens, a cat, and an Alpaca are just what they need after a days work.  Shirley also likes to travel and for the past several years has taken an annual trip to Europe.  She is also a die hard Seahawks fan.

Shirley has two grown children, Daniel and Tyler.  Daniel is a helicopter pilot and Tyler is an architect.
